In the heart of north-south and east-west exchanges

Clermont is adjacent Road 138 vhich links the north coast, from Quebec City to north of Baie-Comeau.  Its industrial park is approximately a 90-minute drive from Quebec City and approximately a 3 hour drive from Baie-Comeau.

The Parc Industriel de Clermont is strategically situated on the north-south axis.  It is a direct route to both northern Quebec as well as other important markets such as : Quebec City, Montreal, Boston and New York.

Due to the Chemin de Fer Charlevoix (CFC), a "shortline" railway that operates in a limited geographical area, an important quantity of merchandise can be shipped to destination by the means of the railway.  Its principal commodities are paper, lumber and plywood, but it also carries clay, cement and gasoline.  The network is comprised of 145 kilometers; linking Clermont to Limoilou, Quebec where the CN takes over.  In 1995, it started operating a transloading facility in Charlevoix to serve its industrial clientele.
